Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled Paramedics to support our Middle East Programs. As a Paramedic with Acuity International, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing medical services to patients in various settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical services, including patient assessment, treatment, and transportation.
- Work collaboratively with other medical professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital sign measurements and medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
Requirements
- 3 years of recent experience as a Paramedic.
- High School diploma or equivalent and continuing education leading to a degree, certification, training as an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic.
- Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted State Paramedic License, free from any pending adverse actions and the ability to be favorably credentialed by Acuity policy.
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), or Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), or Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC).
- Valid US Passport.
- National Register – Paramedic is preferred and some positions will require NR-P.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
- Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
- All health care providers and medical support staff must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
Additional Requirements
- Valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
- Valid US Passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
- Favorable security background check and drug screen.
- International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.
- Current in all required certifications.
- Pre-deployment Counter Terrorism training course prior to deployment.
- Proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
- Proficient in the use of basic word processing programs and the Acuity Medical Management Systems software.
- Normal workweek is established by the Program Manager.
- Performs duties in a safe manner and follows the corporate safety policy.
- Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
- Ensures safe operating conditions within area of responsibility.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
