Furniture Sales Lead

As a Furniture Sales Lead at Big Lots Stores, you will be responsible for leading the furniture team and driving furniture sales. You will be accountable for the furniture department's overall performance, including furniture merchandising, presentation, and recovery standards, as well as furniture sales metrics.

- Responsible for furniture sales metrics
- Work collaboratively with store leadership to accomplish furniture sales and operational goals and tasks
- Provide clear work direction and coaching to furniture sales team members
- Provide feedback to store leadership regarding the team's performance
- Assist customers with product information, selection, and purchase
- Manage the price hold process, including weekly audits
- Maintain furniture department inventory, including cycle counts
- Identify furniture display needs and develop plans for furniture department coverage during special events
- Strive to continually improve the furniture department's sales and ensure merchandising and presentation standards are maintained
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum one-year retail sales experience preferred
- Demonstrated furniture merchandising and sales skills preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills required
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds required
- Availability to work a variable schedule of at least 30 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays required
- Basic English literacy, math, and PC skills required
