Research Scientist Opportunity in the Radiation Oncology Division
The Radiation Oncology Division is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist to become part of the innovative team at the Liu laboratory. Our primary focus is on investigating the mechanisms that contribute to genome stability in cancer and genetic disorders. The research encompasses DNA single molecular analysis, replication fork proteomics, and advanced high-throughput screening methodologies.
- The position entails the cultivation of mammalian cells and the application of cell biology, biochemistry, and genetic research to uncover novel functions of replication fork enriched proteins within stress response pathways.
- We are particularly interested in candidates who possess a PhD and/or MD and have a strong enthusiasm for deciphering DNA replication stress response mechanisms and their significance in preserving genome stability. Experience in DNA replication, DNA damage/repair, and chromatin biology is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with epigenetics, proteomics, and translational research will be considered a valuable asset.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong drive, the ability to work autonomously, and a willingness to collaborate with fellow researchers within the lab and department.
This is a 12-month position that may be extended based on performance and funding availability.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a PhD and/or MD.
