Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of various buildings, including offices, break rooms, and restrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the janitor's closet.
  • Perform floor care duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
  • Dust and clean surfaces, including office furniture, cleared desks, and tables.
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed.
  • Restock restroom dispensers and clean toilets, basins, and urinals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A neat and organized appearance, with a uniform required at some worksites.

Work Environment

This role will be based in a fast-paced office environment, with regular exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise. Safety glasses will be required while performing certain tasks.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 30 pounds of equipment and trash. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
