Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the bakery department, including inventory management, production planning, and quality control.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of bakery associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality products.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customers receive exceptional service, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Merchandising and Display: Develop and implement effective merchandising plans to drive sales and meet financial goals, ensuring that bakery displays are visually appealing and well-stocked.
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, tracking sales reports and ordering products and supplies to meet customer demands and drive sales.
  • Financial Management: Control department expenses, improving operations and efficiencies, and reducing losses due to damages, spoiled product, and shrink.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring that all associates follow proper sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge, and provide coaching and feedback to associates to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; associate or bachelor's degree in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment; previous decorating experience preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of bakery operations and management.
