Position: Substitute SLC Aide
Summary:
The part-time Substitute SLC Aide will play a crucial role in facilitating the daily operations of the school cafeteria during lunch periods. This role demands a responsible, punctual individual who is eager to collaborate with fellow staff members to maintain a safe and healthy environment for students.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Middle School Principal.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
Experience:
While prior experience in a similar capacity is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Essential Requirements:
- Availability to work from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other staff members
- Strong communication skills
- Adherence to school policies and procedures
- Capability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds
- Effective time management skills
Transportation:
Reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the cafeteria for lunch service
- Assist students with their needs, including napkins, straws, utensils, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the cafeteria during and after lunch service
- Perform light cleaning tasks, such as mopping and wiping tables as students are dismissed
- Report any concerns or issues to school administration or cafeteria supervisors
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
- Supervise students in lunch detention
