Job Title: Tutor

We are seeking part-time, in-person tutors to join our team at Ivy Tech Community College – Sellersburg Campus. As a tutor, you will work with students in individual, shared, and group settings to enhance their understanding of course materials. If you are a motivated and patient individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Meet with students to discuss course concepts and provide guidance on study skills.
  • Assist students in developing effective learning strategies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure students meet course learning objectives.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct all activities with respect for diversity and a positive attitude.
Requirements:
  • Be a current student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or have relevant experience as a tutor or faculty member.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality and work well under supervision.
  • Complete eight hours of basic training and participate in regular training sessions.
