Production Operations Specialist

The Production Operations Specialist will provide critical support to the manufacturing process, working closely with the Production Manager to ensure efficient operations and data-driven decision making. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production management to develop and implement production schedules and analytical tools to enhance production volume and profitability.
- Analyze production data to identify issues, root causes, and drive resolutions.
- Work with the Production Manager to develop and manage budgets, operating goals, and productivity metrics.
- Compile and analyze company data to create reports for management review.
- Provide production line support, including process improvements, equipment troubleshooting, and operator inquiries.
- Utilize LEAN, Six Sigma, and other best practice tools to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation of new manufacturing initiatives, including strategic resource allocation and good manufacturing principles.
- Manage direct and indirect labor costs, coordinate with other departments, and ensure material availability and staffing.
- Analyze statistical trends to develop KPIs with internal partners and set performance benchmarking.
- Work with planning and scheduling to develop production plans, assign personnel, and establish priorities.
- Create mechanisms to improve production and streamline workflow.
- Identify and develop new reporting methods, templates, and tools to drive improvement across all business areas.
- Adhere to Q-Cells policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 0-3+ years of related experience.
- Impeccable math and analytical skills.
- Comfortable integrating new technology into an existing business environment.
- Strong data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Lean/Six Sigma.
- Advanced proficiency in using ERP/MES systems.
- Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday.
- Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction.
- Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Q-Cells.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
