Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our speech therapy team, you will work closely with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to develop and implement speech therapy programs for students with speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists: Work with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to develop and implement speech therapy programs that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide Speech and Language Interventions: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide speech and language interventions that help them overcome communication challenges.
  • Assess and Evaluate Students: Assist in conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Record Progress and Communicate with Parents and Teachers: Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and teachers to ensure that students receive the support they need.
  • Create a Supportive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters social and emotional growth for students with speech and language disorders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Related Field: A bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field is required.
  • Active or Pending State License: An active or pending state license is required to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Passion for Working with Children: A passion for working with children and helping them overcome communication challenges is a must.
