Speech Language Pathologist Assistant Job Description

At Soliant, we are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech and language concerns in a school-based setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct screenings and assessments under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to identify students with speech and language disorders.
  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders and support students' educational goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
  • Completion of a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • State licensure or certification as an SLPA, or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not mandatory.
