Electronics Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electronic Field Technician to join our Intelligent Transportation Systems and Communications Network team based out of Fredericksburg and Northern Virginia. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of critical traffic control infrastructure by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fiber network, CCTV, CMS, Traffic, and Weather sensors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose malfunctions and fix failed communication, cameras, digital signs, sensors, and other traffic control and surveillance devices.
- Network Monitoring: Respond to service calls, monitor network operations, ensure device functionality, trouble shoot systems, and maintain organized records using computer and other electronics diagnostic tools.
- Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency repairs, routine inspections, and preventative maintenance to ensure high system availability and traffic device functionality for safe and smooth transportation system operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Possess electronic devices troubleshooting skills using computer and other diagnostic tools, comprehension of communications network operations and security, with ability to monitor, determine, and address root cause failures and vulnerabilities.
- Technical Acumen: Demonstrate strong technical acumen, sense of ownership, work ethics, and responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Field Experience: Ideal candidate will have field experience working independently and with a team in the outdoors, next to traffic both in the ground and aerial.
- Resourcefulness: Display resourcefulness and curiosity to learn and problem-solve electronic, network, and security systems.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 depending on experience. CES Consulting offers an excellent benefits package, including competitive salary, health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for continued professional growth and development.
