At New Story School, our approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each student, guided by their IEP goals and aligned with the standards set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

We are looking for a dedicated School Based BCBA to foster a positive school atmosphere and empower students by implementing effective behavioral strategies in an educational context. Our commitment to diversity, cultural competence, and adherence to multi-tiered support systems ensures that we provide a comprehensive educational experience while complying with all relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct observations and gather data for behavioral screenings and functional assessments to develop effective classroom and individualized behavioral strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze behavioral data trends, including incidents leading to disciplinary actions.
  • Utilize various assessment tools and collaborate with school personnel to evaluate intervention effectiveness and readiness for transitions within a multi-tiered support framework.
  • Provide crisis intervention support as necessary.
  • Oversee the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) for students on your caseload.
  • Create brief behavior contracts for students receiving individualized behavioral support.
  • Design tailored positive behavior support plans for students requiring Tier 3 interventions.
  • Implement recommended behavioral interventions and guide school staff to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure timely completion of all clinical documentation, including communication logs, behavioral assessments, intervention plans, and progress monitoring summaries.
