As a Specialist-Child Life at Baptist Memorial Health Care, you will play a vital role in providing leadership and development of the Child Life program. This position requires a strong understanding of the emotional and educational needs of hospitalized children and the ability to coordinate all phases of assessment and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and plan the activities of the Child Life program
- Develop and manage the budget for the program
- Manage quality improvement processes for the program
- Promote the Child Life Program by establishing a philosophy for the service
- Prepare and execute individual plans of care for pediatric patients
- Integrate child life principles into daily practices of healthcare providers
- Complete assigned goals
- Master's degree in child development, child life, psychology, or related field (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in child development, child life, psychology, or related field (minimum)
- Completion of a Child Life Specialist Internship (minimum)
