As a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse Specialist, you will provide expert consultation and direct patient care for wound, ostomy, and continence management. Your primary responsibilities will include performing comprehensive assessments and developing care plans for complex wound, ostomy, and continence cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop care plans for complex wound, ostomy, and continence cases
  • Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and post-operative care
  • Lead staff education and competency development programs
  • Collaborate on product and equipment evaluations to improve cost-effective patient care
  • Participate in hospital and system-wide committees to drive performance improvement
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required
  • Successful completion of a Wound Ostomy Continence (WOC) Nursing Education Program or equivalent within 12 months of employment mandatory
  • At least 3-4 years of progressively responsible experience, with 1-2 years of clinical experience required
  • Teaching or professional development experience preferred
  • Active RN licensure in DC, CPR certification within 90 days, and WOCNCB certification preferred (required within one year)
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $87,318 - $157,289 based on industry standards and relevant factors. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
