Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to make quality radiographs of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures. This role requires skills in multiple areas of the hospital, including pediatrics, operating room, portables, fluoroscopy, emergency department, and outpatient procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to produce high-quality images
- Work in various hospital settings, including pediatrics, operating room, and emergency department
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
- Follow radiation safety procedures to minimize patient exposure
- Participate in call back rotation at multiple sites
Requirements
- Graduate of a radiologic technology program
- Registered Technologist for Radiography certification
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Work Schedule
This role requires working a variety of shifts, including weekends and call back rotations. The specific schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
