Job Summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced TEMPEST Engineer to join our team of experts in designing and developing high-assurance encryption products. As a TEMPEST Engineer at Viasat, you'll be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, test, and certify TEMPEST-compliant products that meet the stringent security requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analog and digital hardware design engineers and mechanical engineers to create TEMPEST compliant products
  • Recommending circuits, participate in design reviews and conduct tests on new TEMPEST solutions
  • Review Schematic/CAD designs for accuracy
  • Crafting TEMPEST test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Participate in the initial Certification and Submittal phase of Viasat's TEMPEST facility and oversee certification under the TEMPEST Manufacturing and Test Services Program
  • Perform testing in accordance with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92, CNSSAM TEMPEST 01-02
  • Collaborate with test technicians to conduct experimental (engineering) and formal (for score) TEMPEST tests
  • Complete Viasat's production sampling TEMPEST program
  • Liaise with NSA to achieve successful TEMPEST test results and product certification
  • Support the EMI/EMC qualification of Viasat products

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need 5+ years' experience in hardware design for TEMPEST secure products, as well as 3+ years of proven TEMPEST experience. You should also have extensive experience with NSTISSAM TEMPEST/1-92 and CNSSAM TEMPEST/01-02 specifications.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, financial, and other benefits that support your holistic health and wellness.
