Job Title: Staff Psychiatrist, Correctional Facility

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychiatrist to join our team at the Correctional Facility. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing psychiatric services to inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychiatric services to inmates, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for inmates with mental health disorders
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for inmates
  • Conduct regular reviews of inmate treatment plans to ensure effectiveness and make adjustments as needed
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures related to mental health services
Requirements:
  • Doctoral degree in psychiatry or a related field
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in California
  • Board certification in psychiatry
  • At least 2 years of experience in psychiatric services, preferably in a correctional setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
