Job Overview

The Michelle Martin Group is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Strategic Data Specialist to join our client's Business Strategy Division. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for evaluating and solving business challenges, specifically in support of the Department of Homeland Security's law enforcement mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data visualization tools using Power BI, Tableau, or other software to synthesize information and inform senior executive decisions.
  • Design and implement analytical methods and tools to evaluate and integrate data from various sources, assessing and recommending solutions to assigned problems.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, preparing and presenting reports on progress, performance, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to understand and improve business processes, producing documentation of process requirements and details.
  • Apply oral and written communication expertise to develop project deliverables, including analysis plans, written reports, briefing slides, and discussions with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years' experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Minimum of two years' experience with Microsoft Excel, familiarity with VBA Macros or other automation software.
  • Minimum of four years proven experience as a consultant or support contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree in data analytics, business, or another relevant field. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and for our client understanding their needs.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background investigation by the client agency. DHS clearance with CBP/ICE or DoD Top-Secret preferred.
