Del Sol Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in El Paso, Texas, seeks a skilled Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN to join our team. With a Level II trauma designation and 300+ patient beds, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, and rehabilitation.

As a Nuclear Medicine Tech PRN, you will play a crucial role in performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. You will work under the direction of the Medical Director to select and operate equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, using film identification methods correctly and consistently.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $ $63,413 per year, based on national averages for nuclear medicine technicians in Texas. This figure may vary depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to your base salary, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and education assistance.

Job Summary and Qualifications

This position requires an Associate degree or equivalent in Radiology Technology, as well as licensure from the Texas Medical Board and current BCLS certification. Previous experience in clinical nuclear medicine imaging is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is knowledgeable about anatomy, positioning, and nuclear medicine techniques, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Selecting and operating equipment, including cameras and software
  • Performing a variety of clerical tasks, such as inputting exams and completing requisitions
  • Transferring and positioning patients for examinations, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Assisting physicians in the performance of examinations, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals
