Job Description

Motive Infrastructure Solutions is a leading provider of turnkey infrastructure solutions for the telecommunications industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex civil construction activities by operating a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, skid steers, scissor lifts, forklifts, and excavators.
  • Oversee and direct the work of Construction Journeyman, Construction Apprentice, and subcontractors, including planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems, team building and motivating.
  • Maintain a strong onsite relationship with customers, communicating needs, problems, and questions to project management on a daily basis.
  • Directly oversee and provide technical training and review for all work as assigned, including overseeing and continually refining safety inspections, staying current on state and local codes and changes, and best practices.
  • Perform masonry tasks, including building forms and pouring pads for minor concrete equipment pads, structural shelter foundations, tower foundations, and drilling large depth, small diameter holes with Hilti Coring Equipment.
  • Conduct civil construction activities, such as earth moving, equipment operation, retaining earth/water, concrete/asphalt, fencing, demolition, carpentry, roofing, and painting, FRP and fabrication.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • On-the-job training as an assistant Civil Foreman for at least 3 years.
  • Ability to physically operate heavy equipment and work in all types of weather, including extremely hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to operate heavy machinery, including backhoe, skid steer, scissor lift, fork lift, and excavator.
  • Concrete experience, any electrical experience, underground conduit experience, site grounding, fencing, equipment operating, climbing.
