The Pool Safety Specialist maintains a safe and positive atmosphere in the pool and surrounding areas, promoting member safety and engagement in accordance with 92NY policies and procedures.
Responsibilities Include:
* Ensures the safety of every individual at 92NY, both in and around the pool as well as the rest of the facility.
* Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with 92NY policies and procedures.
* Enforces regulations pertaining to showers, food and drink, conduct.
* Maintains effective, positive relationships with members, participants, and other staff.
* Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
Requirements:
* Minimum age of 16.
* Certifications: Red Cross Lifeguarding or equivalent.
* Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
* Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance and Red Cross standards prior to employment.
Work Environment & Requirements:
Per Diem Compensation Range
$19 - $23/hour
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
