We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic Computed Tomography Services to inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients under the direction of the supervising radiologist.
Key Responsibilities- Perform CT scans and reformations according to established clinical protocols, guidelines, and department operating procedures.
- Obtain pertinent patient history to provide the radiologist with adequate information for exam interpretation and to ensure procedural criteria is met.
- Document all patient information on appropriate forms for department records related to preservation of patient records, patient statistics, billing information, and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with established Accrediting Organization, IEMA, and department safety standards.
- 12 hour shifts, including every third weekend, holidays, and some call.
- 3 year general radiology experience.
- ARRT registry.
- IEMA license.
- CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
- Basic knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and basic CT procedures.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Computer competence.
This position may be exposed to hazardous chemicals and radiation. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make independent professional decisions using good judgment skills is essential.
