Are you passionate about creating a safe and healthy work environment? Emerson is seeking a dedicated ESH Manager to lead our Reno, NV Knife Gate Valve facility in achieving regulatory compliance, implementing safety initiatives, and training teams to improve our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead EHS, Medical/Workers Compensation, and Security Contractors to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations, reviewing and implementing revisions of ESH processes, guidelines, programs, and policies.
- Develop and implement safety initiatives, compliance programs, and training programs for OSHA-required programs and general safety awareness.
- Conduct industrial hygiene exposure assessments, manage air, waste, water compliance, and lead root cause solution sessions for hazards and safety incidents.
- Actively participate in safety, environmental, and security teams, conducting monthly health and safety inspections and internal audits.
- Implement Emerson Operation Excellence Safety Audits and Environmental Compliance Audits, maintaining and improving current ratings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in health and safety, with a strong background in regulatory compliance.
- Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- ASP or CSP certification is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
