Lead Construction Projects with Excellence

Weigand Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution and Coordination: Supervise and manage daily construction activities on the job site, ensuring work is progressing according to the project schedule and specifications.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Inspect workmanship, materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage the project schedule, including sequencing of tasks, resource allocation, and coordination of activities.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding project status, challenges, and progress.
  • Problem Solving and Issue Resolution: Identify potential challenges and obstacles that may impact construction progress or quality, and devise solutions to mitigate or resolve these issues.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and supervise construction personnel, ensuring they have clear direction, resources, and support to perform their tasks effectively.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, permits, and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Field Superintendent or similar role, demonstrating effective leadership and project management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
