Cencora is seeking a highly skilled Health Policy Consulting Director to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing, delivering, and selling data-driven solutions to clients as part of our Reimbursement Policy Analytics offering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong subject matter expertise in life sciences healthcare policy, including Medicare and Medicaid policy and regulations, the Inflation Reduction Act, federal budget scoring models, alternative payment models, and more.
  • Familiarize yourself with key data sources for healthcare analysis, such as Medicare claims, Medicare Part D data, commercial claims data, Medical Expenditure Panel Survey data, and Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey data.
  • Collaborate with patient advocacy and industry groups to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in healthcare policy.
  • Quickly recognize and understand clients' business questions and develop data-driven solutions and analysis frameworks to address them.
  • Execute analysis plans effectively and efficiently, adapting to changing circumstances as needed.
  • Interpret and summarize results accurately, providing clear and concise insights to clients.
  • Develop compelling story-based narratives that articulate how results inform product launch strategies or influence policy decision-makers.

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in public policy, healthcare policy, or law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years relevant healthcare policy and reimbursement experience.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Quantitative analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAS.
  • Deep understanding of core policy issues relevant to the industry, including the Inflation Reduction Act, PBM transparency, 340B, and more.
  • Robust expertise in Medicare payment policies, particularly related to pharmaceuticals and associated services.
  • Experience working with existing Medicare and commercial data sets, including medical claims, prescription drug claims, hospital chargemaster data, medical policy data, and prescription formulary coverage data.
  • Ability to translate detailed technical information to others with limited experience in policy or quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to convey complex and changing legislation, regulations, and their impact.
