Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher I to join our team at North Bay Children. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, aligning with our center's philosophies and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment that promotes positive exploration and developmental progress.
  • Maintain accurate records, including daily meal counts, classroom rosters, and incident reports, and ensure timely communication with parents and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, including workshops, conferences, and training sessions, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular self-assessments and participate in timely evaluations of job performance with the Head Teacher and/or Site Supervisor.

Requirements:



  • Adherence to all North Bay Children policies and procedures, as mandated by Executive and/or Program Director.
  • Maintenance of a safe, orderly, and inviting arrangement in all classrooms, including outside play areas, in accordance with California State Licensing regulations and our center's best practices.
  • Engagement in regular self-assessment/goal setting and participation in timely evaluation of job performance with the Head Teacher and/or Site Supervisor.
  • Prompt attendance and participation in scheduled staff development days, staff meetings, planning meetings, and parent/teacher conferences.
  • Demonstration of professional demeanor at all times, with a commitment to teamwork, respect, and open communication.

Working Conditions:



  • Regular interaction with children, staff, and parents, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent changes in schedules and priorities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, including staff absences and unexpected events.

Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and engage in physical activities, such as squatting, bending, and standing, with regular breaks.
  • Health clearance by a physician, including current immunizations and tuberculosis test results.

Compensation: 24.5-31 Yearly Salary
