Position Overview:
We are in search of a distinguished and passionate Lead Scientist to assume a pivotal leadership position within our innovative project focused on protein kinases.

Role Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, organizing, and coordinating the efforts of a diverse team of researchers engaged in a dynamic, interdisciplinary initiative at the Department of Structural Biology.

This large-scale project is aimed at exploring the intricate conformational landscape of the human kinome through advanced methodologies including ultra-high field NMR, cryo-electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography, and computational data analysis.

Key Duties Include:
1. Coordinating the activities of over 50 scientists across various teams specializing in biochemistry, NMR, cryoEM, X-ray crystallography, and computational analysis.
2. Organizing and integrating the data produced by these teams.
3. Participating in the recruitment of additional scientific staff as needed.
4. Serving as the primary contact for Principal Investigators and team leaders regarding ongoing projects.
5. Identifying kinases of biological and medical significance as potential targets.
6. Preparing materials for reports, presentations, and publications.
7. Leading the organization of internal scientific meetings.
8. Attending relevant international scientific conferences.
9. Collaborating with other teams to uncover scientific opportunities pertinent to this initiative.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with a strong background in structural biology or biophysics and a keen interest in molecular mechanisms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to synthesize and integrate diverse information. A proven ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment is essential.

Compensation:
In accordance with U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $138,320 - $262,080 per year.
