Associate Product Manager

The Associate Product Manager - Specialty Vehicle is responsible for overseeing the implementation of state insurance programs, including rates, rules, and forms. This role is accountable for delivering top-line growth and bottom-line profitability across all distribution channels in assigned states.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of resources to ensure work is aligned to department goals and monitor and communicate performance.
- Maintain and grow relationships between NGIC Insurance and policyholders, ensuring employees understand and support the brand.
- Capitalize on strategies and tactics recommended by experienced personnel for product structures and web functionality changes.
- Analyze data and implement product changes to meet expectations for profitability, conservation, refinement, and geographic expansion of existing business and implementation of new product structures.
- Communicate and coordinate state and product efforts with IT, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Finance, Claims, Actuarial, and other areas within the division and enterprise.
- Ensure all state and product initiatives are compliant with regulations and hold ownership of state rate and rule manuals, including DOI filing creation and support.
- Monitor competitive and regulatory activities within the marketplace.
- Work with product analyst resources to drive business growth and profitability.
- Maintain state compliance and competitiveness regarding policy forms and coverage.
- Collaborate with Project Implementation team, Product Management, and Sales to coordinate product launches.
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
- 3 years of Product Management or 5+ years of Pricing Analyst experience (Preferred).
- Exposure to Motorcycle (MC) or Recreational Vehicle (RV) insurance products (Preferred).
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Understanding of insurance product design, mathematical underpinnings of rating algorithms, and general insurance policy coverage concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and data mining techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Independent thinker with mature judgment and discretion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Negotiation skills to resolve differences while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Proven leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills in a highly matrixed environment.
- Proven ability to cultivate an active network of external relationships to meet business and strategic goals.
