We are seeking an Instruction and Faculty Outreach Librarian to join our team at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the university's mission of awakening, nurturing, and empowering learners to ethical lives of service and leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a vibrant faculty outreach program for the School of Business and Technology.
- Serve as the liaison for the university, providing support and resources to faculty and students.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy concepts into courses and develop effective instructional materials.
- Provide user-centered instruction, both face-to-face and online, to support student learning and success.
- Design, assess, and continuously improve instructional services and curricula to meet the needs of students and faculty.
- Stay current on instructional and reference procedures, strategies, and technologies to ensure the highest level of service.
- Master of Library Science degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution or equivalent.
- Experience or education demonstrating knowledge of information literacy instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to participate in a collaborative work environment and work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Information literacy teaching experience.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Experience working in an academic library and assisting users with library databases, reference, and circulation inquiries.
- Experience with web authoring and instructional software such as LibGuides and Articulate Storyline.
