Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director in guiding the housekeeping personnel and laundry services to meet project goals within budgetary constraints and timelines.
  • Take charge of the team in the absence of the Director, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Organize work schedules utilizing labor reports for optimal staffing.
  • Assess safe work practices during performance evaluations and on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper use of supplies and equipment, conducting regular inspections of communal areas and guest rooms to ensure cleanliness, order, safety, and adherence to assigned duties.
  • Ensure that the housekeeping team complies with established safety protocols when using equipment and supplies.
  • Develop and uphold written policies and procedures for housekeeping and laundry services, coordinating with related departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to effectively plan and coordinate housekeeping and laundry services for various activities and events.
  • Provide hands-on support to the housekeeping team as needed, assisting with room cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping tasks.
  • Explore and implement innovative methods and principles to enhance existing housekeeping practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in housekeeping and laundry services.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bilingual capabilities are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Team-oriented approach.
  • Effective time management skills.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Director of Housekeeping. The schedule will vary based on operational needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary, with the capacity to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA.
