Job Overview

As the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at PermanTech, you will play a critical role in championing the use of information and technology in overall enterprise business strategy development and design. The CIO will be responsible for aligning the IT roadmap to the strategic initiatives, ensuring the prioritization, risk management, and leadership to deliver on the expected business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals; develop a culture of engagement through coaching and mentoring; successfully translate business requirements into team deliverables, individual goals, and objectives.
  • Partner with the COO and finance department to ensure stellar supplier management of all IT vendors and negotiate effective contracts for software, services, and other tools.
  • Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits.
  • Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience.
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization.
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience overseeing multiple functions within Information Technology in a fast-paced, global multi-site organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT strategic planning, organization design, leadership, development, and operational management.
  • Outstanding leadership and strategic thinking skills with strong ability to effectively create and communicate the IT vision and inspire and motivate IT staff.
  • Effective influence and negotiation skills within IT and with business partners.
  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management of IT.
  • Ability to drive organizational change within and beyond IT functions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies.
  • Expertise with Information Security and Privacy practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology to business leaders, Board members, and others not immersed within the technology world.
