Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Seneca Resorts & Casinos. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our human resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide HR functional support to the HR department and general staff
  • Assist recruiters with posting processes and prescreening applicants, including processing pre-employment paperwork and completing conditional offer letters
  • Arrange with new hire applicants to complete the hiring process and advise departments of new hire license approvals
  • Work closely with recruiters and the training department to ensure new hires attend orientation
  • Assist with new hire orientation, including completion of new hire paperwork and issuing ID badges
  • Maintain employee files and records, ensuring all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Demonstrate comprehension of casino policy and procedures, and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external applicants
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • One to three years of administrative experience in a human resources environment required
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
