Job Title: Enterprise Architect

SMX Corporation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support our USINDOPACOM project in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to provide technical guidance and support for our Digital Modernization Strategy. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and application platform technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a technical DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) approach to support our Digital Modernization Strategy.
  • Provide analytical recommendations to ensure the long-term technical viability of cloud migrations.
  • Design and architect solutions that meet business and IT needs, create solution roadmaps, and drive POCs/MVPS.
  • Deliver tactical through operational to strategic level systems approach recommendations that integrate USINDOPACOM Theater Operational Plans, exercises, missions, and operations in support of National Defense Strategy in the Asia-Pacific.
  • Provide local, regional, and global systems approach recommendations and solutions that transition USINDOPACOM stove-piped network-centric environment to data-centric security posture.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers to drive long-term cloud adoption within their company.
  • Lead architecture through hands-on evaluations, defining standards, designing solution and reference architectures that solve stated business objectives.
  • Optimize solutions to improve performance and scalability, while providing efficiencies and reducing operating costs.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk.
  • Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations.
  • Advocate and drive adoption of standard methodologies to ensure standardization of solution architecture outputs across the enterprise.
  • Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technologies, and services.
Requirements
  • TS/SCI or Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud).
  • Customer facing skills to acquire knowledge of customer's environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management, and risk mitigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Experience providing architectural standards and process support for definition and implementation of a consistent technical infrastructure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to include relationship building with senior IT executives or highly strategic accounts; problem solving complex customer problems; and collaboration and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience ideating, architecting, consulting, designing, developing, leading, and delivering cloud infrastructure and cloud application platform technology solutions over the entire lifecycle of large scale, multi-team, complex enterprise projects.
  • At least 8 years of experience in more than one of the following technical domains: Core Infrastructure, Application Development, Data and Analytics, and Low Code/No Code.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional desired.
