Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interdisciplinary General Engineer/Architect to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Command. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing metrics and related project data to measure project or team performance. You will brief higher level management on work status, technical decisions, and recommendations. You will consult with managers, staff engineers, scientists, and other personnel in government agencies and industry to advance practices for establishing calibration requirements and capabilities. You will develop alternative solutions to architect-engineer (A/E) contract issues by performing cost-benefit analysis and recommending improvements. You will create architect-engineer project development and planning documents to entail all early project planning elements. You will conduct architectural-engineering contract negotiations to verify project objectives will be met within established cost limitations.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze metrics and related project data to measure project or team performance.
  • Brief higher level management on work status, technical decisions, and recommendations.
  • Consult with managers, staff engineers, scientists, and other personnel in government agencies and industry to advance practices for establishing calibration requirements and capabilities.

Requirements
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience must demonstrate the following: serving as the Program Manager for multiple products & services being delivered in support of their assigned Enterprise, applying business, administrative, and program processes necessary to ensure that products and services are being provided effectively to the customers, applying engineering principles and project management required to perform the analysis of data from engineering programs, providing constructive team feedback for the purpose of improving performance, and acting as the facilitator in order to solve problems with limited/conflicting input to provide solutions.
