Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care and personal service to our residents, working under the direction of the RN/LPN and/or Supervisor of the unit. This includes giving care and assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care and personal service to assigned residents
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Work under the direction of the RN/LPN and/or Supervisor of the unit
  • Transfer residents from sitting to standing position and vice versa
  • Lift residents (minimum 50 pounds) and turn and position numerous times during the course of a work day
Qualifications
  • Currently certified by the New York State Department of Health
  • Ability to lift, bend, and maneuver equipment
  • Ability to transfer residents from sitting to standing position and vice versa
