OB/GYN Physician Assistant Opportunity

Position Highlights:

  • Independent practice with strong affiliation with a local tertiary care hospital providing a full range of OB/GYN medicine.
  • Ambulatory Surgery center on campus.
  • Supported by an excellent multi-disciplinary team that includes radiology.
  • Robust in-house diagnostic testing facility.
  • Full complement of support teams to assist with patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive women's health services to our community through the provision of office services, deliveries, and inpatient/outpatient surgical procedures.
  • Monday-Friday clinic/office schedule with rounding time built into the schedule.
  • Obtains detailed history and develops patient care charts; performs physical examinations and evaluations on assigned patients; assesses and treats medical problems and provides direct patient care to a specified patient population.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment OR possession of a Bachelor's degree, together with a certificate from completing an American Medical Association-approved physician assistant program.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice and use the title of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in NYS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in an OB/GYN practice preferred.
