Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care consistently. As a team member, exhibit respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in every interaction with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.

  • Foster a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
  • Identify and monitor patient care needs by documenting and reporting symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Record medical information and vital signs, and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Adjust patient treatment plans based on responses, conditions, and physician directives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies.
  • Review and interpret diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' conditions.
  • Encourage patient independence by setting care goals; educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills; address questions through collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measure health outcomes against care goals and standards; recommend necessary adjustments; follow hospital and nursing division philosophies.
  • Document patient care services accurately in patient and departmental records.
  • Maintain continuity among nursing teams by communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by following manufacturer instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; request repairs; maintain equipment inventories; evaluate new equipment and techniques.
  • Delegate and supervise nursing personnel.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assisting as needed.
  • Coordinate admissions and discharge planning.
  • Instruct individuals, families, and groups on health education, disease prevention, and develop health improvement programs.
  • Direct and coordinate infection control initiatives, advising personnel on necessary precautions.
  • Provide or arrange training for auxiliary personnel or students.
  • Engage in nursing-related research activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
