This role is responsible for planning and directing accounting activities within central administration departments at the University of Texas at El Paso.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement accounting systems and controls to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including budget and payroll management.
- Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, capital acquisitions, and operating expenses.
- Review financial statements with management personnel and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a four-year College or university.
- Four years of professional governmental or commercial accounting experience.
