Position Overview:

This position is dedicated to executing routine maintenance tasks in accordance with a structured preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring safety and accuracy in all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The essential functions of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining all machinery, including high-capacity industrial washers and dryers.
  • Conducting repairs and replacements of equipment as necessary.
  • Performing basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical tasks.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues by utilizing technical manuals and schematics.
  • Ordering required parts, tools, and equipment in compliance with company procurement policies.
  • Maintaining a detailed Daily Schedule Control for equipment upkeep and preventative maintenance.
  • Managing the daily removal and processing of waste generated from treatment processes.
  • Executing equipment troubleshooting, necessary repairs, and preventative maintenance for all wastewater hardware.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean working environment while adhering to best practices in production activities.
  • Implementing safety precautions, including electrical lock-out tag-out procedures, and following all safety protocols related to equipment, boiler, and wastewater treatment.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated mechanical and basic electrical skills.
  • Familiarity with standard maintenance practices and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Basic understanding of industrial laundry equipment and relevant codes.
  • The ability to comprehend and execute all required training and instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliability in meeting attendance expectations.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift schedule, including weekends, with potential overtime as needed.

Working Environment and Safety Requirements:

This role is performed in a high-volume production warehouse, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions, extreme temperatures, dust, and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Physical requirements include:

  • Regularly moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items weighing up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, twisting, and lifting.
  • Using hands for grasping and manipulation.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Working from elevated heights using ladders and aerial lifts.

Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 3-5 years of maintenance experience.

Compensation: The hourly wage for this position ranges from $24.86 to $37.31, influenced by factors such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
