Job Summary

The Radiologic Technologist PRN will perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This role requires a collaborative relationship among healthcare team members, effective communication, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by the Medical Imaging Medical Director.
  • Provide patient education where appropriate and instruct patients regarding the procedure to ensure patient cooperation and optimum test results.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship among healthcare team members by communicating information, responding to requests, and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  • Work as a team member, supporting others within the Medical Imaging Department and the hospital at large.
  • Correctly and safely use diagnostic equipment per manufacturer's instructions and maintain equipment in good operating condition.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree preferred in Radiological Technology.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) may be obtained within week one of orientation, before patient care.
  • Licenses: Must be registered by ARRT.
