Bastrop Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing urgent medical situations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient outcomes and the overall efficiency of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and reassessments regularly.
- Perform triage evaluations with swift data collection for medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Investigate injury causes and ensure any signs of neglect or abuse are reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans with clear expected outcomes for each patient.
- Accurately verify, document, and administer medications as prescribed.
- Provide health education to patients and their families, ensuring proper documentation of the information shared.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards achieving health outcomes, documenting the effectiveness of interventions.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 60 months of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course or TNCC Instructor certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
