Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and regular reassessments to ensure optimal care.
- Perform triage assessments swiftly, collecting essential data related to medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Evaluate injury causation and ensure proper reporting of neglect or abuse to relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to formulate comprehensive care plans with clear expected outcomes.
- Administer medications accurately, ensuring proper verification and documentation.
- Provide essential health education to patients and their families, along with thorough documentation of the teaching provided.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards desired outcomes, documenting the effectiveness of interventions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within the first 60 months of employment.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be completed within 1 year of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course or TNCC Instructor certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
