About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Architect to join our team at FIS Global. As an IT Architect, you will play a key role in designing the foundation for our global fintech platforms, influencing the selection, operation, and administration of systems and software that support vital business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain a library of functional component models for FIS product lines.
  • Document functional product solutions and key FIS financial services opportunities.
  • Maintain a catalogue of reusable functional application components relevant for applications and product lines.
Requirements
  • Expertise in end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
  • Five or more years in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment, working with relational or hierarchical databases.
  • Experience designing and implementing applications in a shared service bureau environment.
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model-driven design-based tools and techniques.
  • A bachelor's in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five years solution architect experience, with architectures across multiple tiers, incorporation of 3rd party or otherwise hosted solutions, considerations for performance/scale, etc.
  • Three years AWS solutioning experience, with knowledge of Lambda, S3, Fargate, ALB, Redis, CloudWatch, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Postgres, API gateway, HA/DR concepts achieved through AWS Regions and availability zones.
  • Seven years Java development experience, with knowledge of core Java, Threading/Completable futures, SpringBoot, MVC/WebFrameworks, REST, Data access, etc.
  • Five years exposure to Client-side SPA technologies such as React and/or Angular.
  • Five years CI/CD concepts/tools experience, with Git, Harness, pipelines.
  • Knowledge of NodeJS, Python, Apigee API, ServiceNow, Snowflake, Azure A a plus.
