Job Title: Pediatric Therapist Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Therapist Specialist to provide high-quality physical therapy services to special needs children at the Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery.

About the Role:

The Pediatric Therapist Specialist will evaluate and develop individualized therapy plans for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes conducting assessments, maintaining accurate records, and participating in team meetings and parent training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering physical therapy services as per IEP mandates
  • Maintaining proper documentation of evaluation, treatment sessions, and progress
  • Screening and evaluating children to determine the need for services and making recommendations
  • Preparing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Requirements:

A Master's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with 2-3 years of experience working with children (pediatrics) with developmental disabilities preferred. NYS licensure to practice is also necessary.

Salary Information:

The annual salary for this full-time position is $72,000 - $80,000, with a 5-day workweek and hours from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Part-time hourly rates start at $70.00 per hour, with a schedule of 9 am – 3:00 pm.
