Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Integration Specialist to join our team at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America. As a key member of our Data and AI team, you will play a leading role in telematics integration, working with pre-production automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate hardware and software release updates for vehicle and bench telematics components, ensuring seamless integration and testing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with counterparts in Germany, collaborating on system integration and testing.
  • Perform end-to-end system integration tests to provide accurate assessments of software state.
  • Install and maintain logging and tracing equipment, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Identify required updates, obtain necessary hardware and software, and track delivery timing to minimize vehicle and bench downtime.
  • Update hardware and wiring as needed, collaborating with diagnostic experts and functional teams to ensure system functionality.
  • Maintain and update vehicle scheduling plans, ensuring prototypes and test cars are available for release update deadlines and validation tests.
  • Communicate frequently with Mercedes-Benz counterparts, confirming hardware levels, part availability, shipping, and delivery status.
Requirements
  • Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Software Engineering degree.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in automotive development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle development processes, system development processes, liability and quality requirements, and automobile technology.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex CAN/LIN/Flexray/Ethernet vehicle systems, identifying issues and developing solutions.
  • Experience with technical work on vehicles, including disassembly and assembly of interior trim, panels, dashboards, and consoles.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, perform wiring modifications, and debug connectivity issues.
  • Expert understanding of vehicle architecture and topology, with good proficiency in command line environments.
