**Position Summary:**
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating both clinical and non-clinical educational initiatives for various operational components. This role ensures compliance with hospital and departmental standards. The educator may engage with patients across all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Patient Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and proactively seek improvements in patient safety practices.
  • Education Assessment: Identify educational needs and practice gaps through data collection and analysis.
  • Education Planning: Collaborate to develop instructional programs that address identified learning needs and integrate research findings.
  • Instruction: Implement educational curricula using adult learning principles to ensure effective teaching and positive learning environments.
  • Outcomes & Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate educational program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback.
  • Quality Improvement: Enhance the quality of instructional programs and apply innovative solutions to improve learning experiences.
  • Professional Development: Maintain expertise in nursing education and engage in continuous professional growth.
  • Ethics: Uphold ethical standards in all educational practices, ensuring the dignity and rights of learners.
  • Leadership: Foster a healthy work environment and align educational goals with organizational objectives.
  • Evidence-Based Practice: Incorporate best practices and current research into educational activities.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's Degree
- Master's Degree
**Experience:**
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
**Credentials:**
Essential:
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers certification within 30 days
- RN licensure in New Mexico or as permitted by reciprocal agreement
**Physical Requirements:**
Heavy Work: Requires significant physical effort to move objects or individuals.
**Working Conditions:**
Exposure to hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment.
