Position Overview

The Commercial Loan Officer role focuses on providing loans and various banking products to commercial clients across different sectors, including business banking, agriculture, and commercial real estate. This position is integral to expanding and managing the bank's portfolio while contributing to the betterment of the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients seeking commercial loans, fostering relationships throughout the process.
  • Assess client creditworthiness to make informed lending decisions aligned with company risk tolerance.
  • Evaluate collateral value or status as needed during the loan application process.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the bank's offerings and identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maintain or acquire clients, enhancing commercial lending revenue and deposit growth.
  • Establish connections with key community members, building a network while addressing the needs of existing customers.
  • Manage and build credit portfolios for clients.
  • Ensure clients receive exemplary customer service.
  • Understand internal bank policies and banking regulations thoroughly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial lending is desired.
