The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bar preparation, cash handling, and bartending, with a passion for craft-cocktails, mixology, and spirits. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bar, including staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service to ensure a high-quality experience for our guests.
- Oversee drink preparation, presentation, and quality to meet customer expectations.
- Handle cash transactions, monitor revenue, and implement effective cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with ownership and operational management to create innovative menus and maintain high-quality standards.
- Foster a positive work environment by leading and motivating staff members to deliver outstanding service.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge of our menu, ingredients, and drink preparation methods as well as how we prepare classic cocktails.
- Ensure staff meets our hygiene standards and is responsible when serving alcohol to customers.
- Help with scheduling staff and overseeing shift coverage.
- Experience as a bar/restaurant Manager in a fast-paced environment (1+ years)
- Strong background in bar preparation, cash handling, and bartending.
- Extensive knowledge and strong interest in craft-cocktails, mixology, and spirits. Knowledgeable in beer and wine.
- Must be able to create and maintain a team atmosphere and ensure that employees are appropriately trained and have an adequate workload.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of including but not limited to MS Excel, MS Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Meet and more.
- Skilled in using POS systems and inventory management (Preferably with TOAST).
- Experience in training staff and scheduling according to budgeted business needs.
- Solution-focused, receptive to constructive criticism and general performance feedback.
- Well-versed in opening, closing, and regular operating procedures of working in a bar.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- RBS certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
