Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients
  • Assemble, organize, and complete case carts according to doctor's preference lists
  • Provide appropriate instrumentation, suture, and all supplies as requested and maintain a sterile environment
  • Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments using proper technique and established policy
  • Assist in maintenance and care of specimens and prepare for laboratory analysis
  • Promote mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health and abide by service behavior standards
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval
  • Graduation from formal, accredited surgical technologist program required
  • NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification required for certified positions

Work Environment
