Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare's St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our surgical operations by providing exceptional patient care and support to our surgical team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including assembling and organizing case carts and providing necessary instrumentation and supplies.
- Provide a sterile environment and assist the surgeon by passing instruments during procedures.
- Count and verify sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Assist with the maintenance and care of specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
- Participate in the turnover of rooms, including cleaning, restocking, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification required.
- Graduation from a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent experience preferred.
- NCCT Surgical Technologist certification (TS-C) or NBSTSA certification preferred.
